About Levitra 10mg:

Levitra is used to treat adult men (aged 18 and up) who have erectile dysfunction (also known as impotence) and are unable to obtain or maintain a hard penis (erection) sufficient for satisfying sexual activity. Sexual stimulation is required for Levitra to be effective. Levitra is a prescription medication that contains the active ingredient vardenafil. It is available in film-coated and Oro dispersible tablets (10 mg). Tablets that dissolve in the mouth are known as Oro dispersible tablets.

Active Substance:

Vardenafil, the active ingredient in Levitra, belongs to a class of drugs known as phosphodiesterase-type-5 (PDE5) inhibitors. It works by inhibiting the phosphodiesterase enzyme, which normally degrades cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP). cGMP is produced in the penis during normal sexual stimulation, where it relaxes the muscle in the spongy tissue of the penis (the corpora cavernosa). This allows blood to enter the corpora and cause the erection. Levitra restores erectile function by preventing the breakdown of cGMP. To produce an erection, sexual stimulation is still required.

Recommended Dosage:

Levitra 10 mg is recommended for use between 25 and 60 minutes before sexual activity. The Oro dispersible tablets must be taken dry. The onset of activity may be delayed if Levitra film-coated tablets are taken with a high-fat meal. Depending on the effectiveness of the treatment and any side effects, the dose of the film-coated tablets can be increased to a maximum of 20 mg or decreased to 5 mg.

Onset of effect:

You can take one tablet of Levitra 10mg before 60 minutes to having a sex.

Duration of effect:

The vardenafil can last its effect up to 4 to 5 hours.

Precautions:

Who should avoid?

The most common side effect with Levitra (seen in more than 1 patient in 10) is headache. People who are hypersensitive (allergic) to vardenafil or any of the other ingredients should not take Levitra. It should not be used in situations where sexual activity is not advised, such as in men with severe heart disease. It should also not be used in patients who have previously experienced vision loss due to a problem with blood flow to the eye nerve (nonarteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy, or NAION). Levitra should not be combined with nitrates (medicines used to treat angina). People who are allergic to vardenafil or any of the other ingredients should avoid taking Levitra. It should not be used in situations where sexual activity is not recommended, such as in men suffering from severe heart disease. It should also not be used in patients who have previously experienced vision loss as a result of a blood flow problem to the eye nerve (nonarteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy, or NAION). Nitrates should not be combined with Levitra (medicines used to treat angina).

How to consume?
